[Global Korea]Lunch Time Culture Festival at Deoksugung Street from the 6th of April



Many events will be hosted throughout the week at Deoksugung Street walking path during lunch time starting on the 6th of this month. Seoul stated on the 5th that this opening events is for office workers and tourists. Deoksugung Street walking path first opened in September last year. It is a 310 meter distance from Dae Han Gate to the Round Fountain in front of Jung Dong Church. This is opened from 11:30 am for 2 hours on weekdays. Every Monday, there is an art performance with the theme of "Street with Culture". The first day which is the 6th, there will be a performance by No Hee Sup(Baraton), violin and the clarinet performance. The Street performance is open for everyone to participate. Anyone who wish to apply, can send the application form at realjihun@seoul.go.kr. Every Wednesday, you can enjoy lunch outside where there are 15 parasol table set. For the seats are limited, you must reserve the seats in advanced online. The rest will be for those who come on that day. Every Friday to Sunday, there will be a market place opening for Societal Companies, Companies for people with disabilities and Town Companies. Art pieces, design crafts are to be sold at the market place. All of Deoksugung Street Walking Path events will open from April to November exempting the hot season which is from July to August.

[글로벌 코리아]6일부터 덕수궁길 점심시간 '문화축제'

6일부터 덕수궁길 점심시간 보행전용거리에서 요일별로 다양한 행사가 열린다.

서울시는 5일 직장인과 관광객을 대상으로 이 같은 행사를 진행한다고 밝혔다.

덕수궁길 보행전용거리는 지난해 9월부터 도입됐다. 덕수궁 대한문부터 정동교회 앞 원형 분수까지 310m 구간이다. 평일 오전 11시 30분부터 2시간 동안 운영된다.

매주 월요일 이곳에서 '문화가 있는 거리'를 주제로 예술공연이 열린다. 첫날인 6일에는 바리톤 노희섭의 공연과 바이올린, 클라리넷 연주를 들을 수 있다. 보행전용거리 공연에는 시민도 자유롭게 참여할 수 있다. 참가 신청은 전자우편(realjihun@seoul.go.kr)으로 하면 된다.

매주 수요일에는 파라솔 테이블 15세트가 설치돼 야외에서 도시락을 즐길 수 있다. 좌석이 한정된 관계로 15개 좌석 중 일부는 전자우편으로 미리 신청한 시민에게 배정할 예정이다. 나머지는 현장에서 자율적으로 이용할 수 있다.

매주 금요일부터 일요일까지는 사회적기업, 장애인기업, 마을기업이 참여하는 장터가 열린다. 장터에서는 예술작품, 디자인공예품 등을 살 수 있다.

덕수궁 보행전용거리에서 열리는 모든 행사는 혹서기인 7∼8월을 제외하고 4월부터 11월까지 열린다. 비가 오면 당일 행사가 연기되거나 취소될 수 있다.
