Home Plus 'For Sale' Rumor

Suspicion is being raised regarding Home-Plus excessively adding depreciation fund in 2014 and has intentionally dropped its price book value. Due to this effect, they have made a record of losing 300 million dollars of business profits after gaining 1944 million dollars last year. Some doubt that the holding company TESCO headquarter is trying to hand over Home Plus to privately placed funds or international speculation funds. On the other hand, Reuters Telecom and the international press reported on the 4th that TESCO has selected HBBC as Sale Supervisor and has sent privately placed fund and investment manual to some enterprise.

홈플러스 매각설

홈플러스가 2014년도 감가상각비 등을 과다계상해 회사 장부가치를 일부러 떨어뜨렸다는 의혹이 제기됐다. 이 영향으로 홈플러스는 지난해 1944억원의 영업이익을 내고도 3000억원 가까운 당기순손실을 기록했다. 일각에서는 홈플러스의 지배회사인 테스코 본사가 사모펀드 등 국제 투기자본에 홈플러스를 손쉽게 넘기기 위해 이런 작업을 한 것으로 의심하고 있다.

한편 지난 4일 로이터 통신 등 외신은 테스코가 한국 홈플러스 매각주관사로 HSBC를 선정하고 사모펀드와 일부 기업에 투자설명서를 보냈다고 보도했다.
