Growing Concern Regarding Easy Going Documentary Investigation

The prosecutors are being surrounded by questions regarding the investigation. That is because they sent a written questionnaire to 6 people on May 28 under custody regarding Kyung-Nam Governor Hong Jun Pyo and former prime minister Lee Wan Gu. Suspicion is being raised whether this is becoming a rerun of Hwang Kyo An easy going investigation or not. The prosecutors' written investigation was made mainly to politic and economic big shots so far. Most of these cases were put to an end because they were proven innocent. Prime minister nominee Hwang Kyo An is presently in charge of investigating Sung Wan Jong list as current Minister of Justice. The legal circle is arguing the effectiveness and suitability regarding the investigation.

'성완종 리스트 6인'에 서면조사…황교안식 봐주기 수사 우려

검찰이 봐주기 수사 의혹에 휩싸였다. 홍준표 경남지사와 이완구 전 국무총리에 대해 불구속 기소 방침을 세운 리스트 나머지 6명에게 지난달 29일 서면질의서를 보냈기 때문이다. '황교안식 봐주기 수사'가 재연되는 것이 아니냐는 우려가 나온다. 그간 검찰의 서면조사는 정·재계 실세들을 중심으로 이뤄져왔다. 불기소나 혐의 없음으로 종결된 사례가 대부분이다. 당시 수사 책임자였던 황교안 총리 후보자가 현재 법무부 장관으로 성완종 리스트 수사도 사실상 관장하고 있다. 법조계에서는 실효성과 적합성 등을 놓고 갑론을박이 한창이다.
