"An Chang Nam Pilot" by Director Nopil (1948), "A Female Judge" by Director Hong Eun Won (1962), "The Only Son" by Director Jung Jin Woo (1963, Standing on the slope of Trees" by Director Choi Ha Won (1968).

These are the debut films of the greatest directors in Korean movie industry. Along with these films, 94 rare films were released. Also, there are films including the works of Lee Man Hee, Lim Kwon Taek, Kim Su Yong and other Film masters of different generations.

Korea Film Archive (KOFA) has stated on the 7th of this month that they have restored 94 non-possessed Korean movie films. There are the films that are contributed by Han Gyu Ho, the representative of Korea Film Company. He has preserved these films in his personal storage room.

Korea Film Archive will reveal some of these acquired films to the public in the near future. The first film to be released is "Unforgettable Lovers" by Director Lee Man Hee. This film will be shown at the 40th year Commemoration Day of Director Lee. This event will be held on the 23rd of this month at the Cinema Tech KOFA Mapo-gu, Seoul.

On June 12th to July 5th, the excavation by Korea Film Archive entitled "Recovery Exhibition" will be held and films by Director Jung Jin Woo, Lim Gwon Taek, Kim Su Yong, Choi Ha Won will be shown.

노필 감독의 '안창남 비행사'(1948년), 홍은원 감독의 '여판사'(1962년), 정진우 감독의 '외아들'(1963년), 최하원 감독의 '나무들 비탈에 서다'(1968년).

한국영화사상 거장감독들의 데뷔작이다. 이 작품들을 포함해 94편의 희귀 영화들이 세상에 나왔다. 이만희, 임권택, 김수용 등 다른 당대 최고의 감독 작품들도 포함돼 있다.

한국영상자료원(KOFA)은 7일 94편의 미보유 한국영화 필름들을 대거 확보했다고 밝혔다. 1970년대 종로에서 순회영사 사업을 했던 한국영화공사 한규호 대표가 기증한 작품들이다. 한 대표는 개인 소유 창고에 필름들을 보관해 왔다.

영상자료원은 이번에 입수한 작품 중 일부를 곧 대중에 공개할 예정이다. 이만희 감독의 '잊을 수 없는 연인'이 첫 공개작이다. 이 감독 타계 40주기를 기념한 '이만희 감독 전작전'에서 공개된다. 이 행사는 오는 23일 서울 마포구 상암동 시네마테크KOFA에서 열린다.

이후 6월 12일부터 7월 5일까지 열리는 '한국영상자료원 발굴, 복원전'에서 정진우, 임권택, 김수용, 최하원 감독의 작품이 상영된다.
