삼성전자의 차기 스마트폰 '갤럭시 S7'이 내년 2월 조기 출격할 것으로 관측되면서 제품에 대한 다양한 추측들이 잇따라 제기되고 있다.

8일 휴대폰 업계에 따르면 삼성전자가 차기 플래그십 모델인 '갤럭시 S7'을 내년 2월 출시할 것이라는 설이 또다시 제기됐다. 앞서 해외 삼성 정보기술(IT) 전문매체 '샘모바일'과 '폰아레나' 등은 갤럭시 S7이 내년 1월에 출시될 것이라고 내다봤다. 또 갤럭시 S7이 세계 최초의 접히는 스마트폰이 될 것이라는 추측까지 제기했다.

삼성전자는 그동안 매년 2월 열리는 세계 최대 이동통신 전시회인 '월드모바일콩그레스(MWC)' 사전행사에서 플래그십 모델인 '갤럭시S' 신제품을 공개하며 세계 이동통신 업계의 관심을 집중시킨 바 있다. 이후 제품의 출시는 통상 4월 말에 이뤄졌다.
