Shinhan bank has donated the least, unlike what they have said they will bring about in the beginning

It is revealed that Shinhan bank, one of the leading banks in Korea, has put the least effort in making a donation. Shinhan bank has said to increase the donation rate to boost the nation's economic growth this year. However it turns out that the Shinhan bank has been lagging behind while other leading banks such as Kookmin, Hana, Woori and IBK has shown relatively higher contribution to the donation compared to that of Shinhan bank..

On the 1st of September, according to Financial Supervisory Service's DART, Shinhan bank has only donated about 1.2 billion, 28 million in the 2nd quarter whereas Woori bank has donated 15 times more which is approximately 18 billion, 65 million.

Moreover, Kookmin bank has donated about 5.4 billion, 13million, Hana bank 2.2 billion, 31million and 3.8 billion, 4 million for Industrial bank in the 2nd quarter.

'따뜻한 금융'만든다던 신한은행, 기부실적 '꼴찌'

'리딩뱅크' 신한은행이 시중 은행 가운데 가장 적은 기부금을 책정해온 것으로 나타났다.

신한은행은 그동안 '금융보국'의 창업 정신에 따라 '따뜻한 금융'을 실천 목표로 내세워왔다.

하지만 국민·우리·하나·기업은행 등 경쟁 금융사에 비해 현저히 낮은 기부금 집행내역을 보면 '따뜻한 금융'이란 말이 무색해 보인다.

1일 금융감독원 전자공시시스템에 따르면 신한은행이 올해 2분기 기부한 금액은 12억2800만원이다. 같은 기간 우리은행은 이보다 15배 많은 180억6500만원을 기부했다. 또 국민은행은 54억1300만원, 하나은행은 22억3100만원, 기업은행은 38억400만원을 기부했다.
