[Global Korea]Gang-nam Plastic Surgery Search and 'Confiscation Requested by China.'

The prosecutors are investigating major plastic surgeries in Gang-nam. This request was made by the Chinese government. Western District Prosecutor's Office, department of food and medicine started to investigate ten well known plastic surgery hospitals in Seocho-gu on the twenty third of this month. They confiscated the treatment records and summoned the related officials to further investigate. Each of these hospitals is run by at least ten doctors. And one of these hospitals is the largest plastic surgery hospital in the country. These hospitals gave high commission to the plastic surgery brokers for gathering Chinese patients. The commissions paid for this process were exempted from the account book. Also, it has been found that they did not pay their taxes. Korea plastic surgery is becoming popular among the Chinese these days, but the side effects are emerging after the intervention of brokers. It was told that the Yowooku(Chinese tourists) are turning their backs on the Korean plastic surgery because numerous people have lost their lives during the surgery.

[글로벌 코리아]중국 요청에 강남 성형외과 '압수수색'

검찰이 서울 강남의 대형 성형외과들을 수사 중이다. 그나마도 중국 정부의 요청에 의한 것이다.

서울서부지검 식품의약조사부는 23일 서울 서초구 소재 유명 성형외과 등 10여곳을 전격 압수수색했다. 병원 진료기록 등을 확보하고 관계자들을 소환해 조사 중인 것으로 알려졌다. 이들 성형외과들은 모두 10명 이상의 의사가 있는 병원들이다. 이 중 한 병원은 국내 최대 규모다.

이들은 전문 성형 브로커에 수술비의 절반에 가까운 고액 수수료를 주고 중국인 환자를 모집해온 것으로 알려졌다. 이 과정에서 지급한 수수료는 병원 회계 장부에서 누락됐다. 세금을 내지 않은 정황도 포착됐다.

최근 중국에서 한류성형의 인기가 높아지고 있는 추세다. 하지만 불법 브로커들이 개입되면서 부작용이 잇따르고 있다. 한국 성형외과에서 유커(중국 관광객)들이 수술 도중 사망하는 일이 빈번히 발생해 중국 내 반한 감정 또한 일고 있다고 전해졌다.
