Old fashioned and boring Korean Classical Music is transforming into a sophisticated and classy music through Youth Songs and Music. Many skilled and talented Korean Classical musicians are going to join the "Youth Songs and Music." "Youth Songs and Music" is a program by Seoul City Hall Youth Classical Group to discover young and talented Korean Traditional musicians under 30 years old. This group was put together in year 2013 and this program will be hosted on the 17th of this month at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts M Theater. A new style of dynamic performance will be shown by nine young conductors, composers and instrumentalists who were chosen last February at the contest. These people have proven themselves to be outstanding and creative among the 70 teams that participated. The grandson of the Dae Geum master Seo Yong Suk, Ahjang player Seo SuJin, the nephew of the human cultural asset and Pansori master, Kim Dong Jun will perform "Conversation between Ajang and Sori ? A brisk and lively folk tune. A visually impaired Danso player, Park Jisun will perform Danso solo "Chusan." Pipe plater Kim Tae Hyung and geomungo player Lee Min Young, who have won the 1st prise at Onnara Korean Classical Music Contest, will perform "Changbu Taryung" and Moo young Tap" "Baek Doraji of Gold Mountain" by Kim Ha Hyun will perform with a modernized instrument Ok Ryu Geum. "Shin Moduem of Yonhee group Tago is also on the performance list. "Mongyudo Wondo" composed by Lee Go-eun will be conducted by Yu Yong Sung.

[글로벌 코리아]국악, 고리타분하지 않아요

고리타분하고 지루하게만 느껴지는 국악이 '청춘가악'을 통해 세련된 음악으로 탈바꿈한다.

'청춘가악'에서는 국악이 끼와 재능으로 똘똘 뭉친 젊은 국악인들이 참여할 예정이다.

'청춘가악'은 30세 이하의 실력 있는 젊은 국악인들을 발굴하기 위한 서울시청소년국악단의 프로그램이다. 2013년부터 이어져 왔다. 이 프로그램이 오는 17일 세종문화회관 M씨어터에서 열린다.

지난 2월 공모에서 선발된 지휘자와 작곡가, 연주자 등 젊은 국악인 9명은 이 무대에서 파격적인 연주와 퍼포먼스로 새로운 국악을 선보인다. 70여 팀의 지원자 가운데 실력과 독창성을 인정받은 이들이다.

대금명인 서용석의 손자인 아쟁 연주자 서수진, 판소리 고법 인간문화재 김동준의 조카인 소리꾼 신지영이 '야쟁과 소리의 대화-육자배기'를 들려준다. 시각장애인 단소 연주자 박지선은 단소산조 협주곡 '추산'을 연주한다. 온나라 국악경연대회 대상 수상자인 피리 연주자 김태형과 거문고 연주자 이민영은 피리협주곡 '창부타령', 거문고 협주곡 '무영탑'을 선보인다. 한 개량악기 옥류금으로 듣는 김하현의 '황금산의 백도라지', 연희그룹 '타고'의 '신모듬'도 관객을 기다린다. 작곡가 이고운의 창작 관현악곡 '몽유도원도'는 유용성의 지휘로 연주된다.
